In our last SCC Getaway we had the honor of hosting @LironAziri, a natural cosmetic and holistic medicine beauty expert. Through a special workshop, we learned about all about raw materials and our bodies' natural healing abilities. Liran taught us how we can treat our facial skin through natural clay masks, facial water, gua sha sculpts and much more.
For those who missed it, below is an explanation of the main materials and powders we used in the workshop and 2 crazily easy recipes.
Materials and Powders
Green Clay - comes from the mountains of France and consists of minerals that have a wonderful and immediate effect on the skin: calcium, magnesium, silica, phosphorus, copper and zinc. Green clay cleanses the skin, encourages skin rejuvenation, absorbs toxins and fat, dries pimples and is effective in treating acne.
White Clay (Kaolin)- is a natural mineral extracted from limestone. The clay is rich in minerals such as silica, magnesium, calcium and zinc, cleanses the skin well but does not dry it out. It is used for nourishment and maintains the elasticity and appearance of the skin.
Yellow Clay - is considered to be a powerful cleanser which draws out impurities from the skin while the essential minerals within the clay are released. It sloughs off dead skin cells from the surface of the skin, and tightens & tones the skin, leaving it feeling smooth, fresh, and radiant.
Red Clay - origins from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. This clay nourishes the skin with minerals, treats capillarys, revitalizes the skin and gives a glow. Suitable for acne and mature skin.
Spirulina (powder)- contains chlorophyll for the treatment of all skin lesions, wounds, infections, burns, etc. In addition, it contains carotenoids which help slow down the aging process. Gives an overall smooth and soft feel to the skin.
Zinc (a liquid concentrate)- a natural radiation filter that includes ultraviolet radiation. Soothes irritated skin, wounds and lesions, antimicrobial.
