In the name of convenience and efficiency, we sacrifice so much of the little pleasures of life which is cooking, exploring our local resources, and learning about each other. As I began learning a bit about slow living, I started to make note of things I'd like to change about my grocery trips.
Beside championing local ingredients and produce, farms and farmer markets provide a great place to connect to people and community.

@farma_cultura Set in the endless agriculture fields that unfold Bnei Zion, Farma Cultra shares the perfect insights to farm life. Welcomed by their lovely garden and deli, you can pre-order a picnic and find a spot between the trees, along the picnic tables or in the greenhouse. You can buy treats to take home with you and for an additional fee, you can also take a tour at the farm. @yehudas_garden If you are looking for a reliable place to buy your organic veggies, this is definitely the place for you. The shopping experience is perfect as if it was your very own garden. So what's in my organic basket? Sweet corn (the best you will eat), basil, dill, parsley, mint, kale, spinach, lettuce and strawberries. @meshek_melamed 20 minutes from Tel-Aviv, at the end of a long country road, a hidden gem awaits. The Melamed farm is based and prompts the slow living philosophy- sustainable, local, organic and wholesome. It’s hard not to fall in love with the great lawn meadow, stray dogs and giggling children everywhere. An organic shop and deli, with takeaway foods, local bakery with beautiful pastries.
